Recommended Use: 1 to 2 tablespoons per day before breakfast or lunch. Can be taken alone or diluted in water or juice.
Another suggestion is to use LACTICOL in place of vinegar mixed with olive oil for salad dressing.
This product has a very strong flavor that is not improved by diluting it in water.

Instructions for use: It is a delicious cold dessert. Dissolve two measures of product in 10 measures of water. Let set for 1-2 minutes and eat after meals.

These bacteria have been carefully selected in order to strengthen and improve lactic fermentation as well as to increase the development of the microorganisms in the digestive system.

· Lactobacillus acidophilus: An important inhabitant of the human small intestine. It is also found in the mouth and vagina. Acidophilus manufactures lactase to digest milk sugar and produces lactic acid which suppresses undesirable bacteria and yeasts. Acidophilus lowers cholesterol levels and kills Candida yeasts. Acidopholus levels are reduced by use of antibiotics, pollution, poor diet.

· Bifidobacterium bifidum: An important inhabitant of the large intestine. It is also found in the vagina and small intestine. Bifidobacterium bifidum digests lactose, produces lactic acid and acetic acid, ferments indigestible fibers, synthesizes some vitamins, particularly B vitamins and aids mineral absorption (calcium, magnesium and zinc). It inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria by crowding them out, lowering the pH levels in the intestines and absorbing ferrous ions. Aids in constipation and diarrhea by producing lactose.

· Lactobacillus plantarum: Found in the large intestine. It helps produce the natural antibiotic lactolin and synthesizes the anti-viral amino acid L-lysine.

· Lactobacillus casei: Found in the mouth and digestive tract, it secretes peptidoglycan to support the body's natural defenses

· Streptococcus thermophilus: Aids in cases of lactose intolerance by producing lactase to break down milk product. It destroys harmful bacteria such as Pseudomonas sp., E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella sp., and Shigella. It produces the anti-pathogenic agent Methanol acetone.

· Streptococcus lacti: Produces lactic acid.

· Alantin and oligofructose in Inulac provide nutrition for the growth and development of intestinal microflora responsible the fermentation processes (prebiotic). They also produce beneficial effects related to the fiber intake.

· Lactic acid is added to Inulac for the production of an acid pH to promote the growth and development of beneficial fermentive intestinal bacteria.
